This amount is for a family size Politiki salad (4 -5 people). For two people, or if you want the salad to replace your meal, you can use half the amounts described below.

STEP 1 Start by shredding some white cabbage straight into a big bowl. Put grounded salt and rub together some salt on it and mix it gently with your hands.

STEP 2 Peel a carrot and cut it into thin slices. Take a handful and add it to the bowl. Continue by adding two finely sliced scallions - straight into the bowl.

STEP 5 Dill. Chop or trim a bunch of fresh dill (a whole mini bag that you can find in the supermarket).

STEP 6 Optional, but gives a nice aroma and taste is garlic. Mince one or two cloves of garlic and spread them over, adding together a few pickled red peppers for a bit of heat.
